Participants Needed for Online Survey on Cross-Generational Communication - Please Complete by Apr 9th!

From a UC colleague:

I am planning a presentation on cross-generation communication and work for this year’s diversity conference.  I have created a brief survey in the hopes that I can gather responses from as many students, staff members and faculty as possible.  Feel free to forward the survey to colleagues and students who may be interested in giving feedback. 

I am interested in getting information from people of all ages.  The only stipulation I have is that responders should be students, staff or faculty at a college or university.  

I would like to get responses by Sunday, April 9^th so I can begin review of the data on Monday, April 10^th.  All information received is anonymous.

Proudly Pennies Nipper Stadium Steps Challenge - May 19th!

We are challenging the UC and Greater Cincinnati communities to come together and participate in the 2nd annual Nippert Stadium Steps Challenge.

Help us beat diabetes and obesity "One Step at a Time", by climbing the nearly 1,500 steps in the lower bowl of UC's Nippert Stadium on Saturday, May 19 beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Proceeds for this year's event will support the Cincinnati Diabetes and Obesity Center (CDOC) -- a branch of UC Health and the premier institution accelerating the discovery of treatments for diabetes and other metabolic disorders.

Rafael Rennella Scholarship - Application Due April 30th!

Rafael Rennella Scholarship Information 2011-2012
Purpose:
To recognize and reward students on campus who have demonstrated leadership and motivational qualities through active participation in student groups dedicated to serving the University of Cincinnati and Greater Cincinnati Latino community.

Rafael Rennella

History of the Rennella Scholarship:
Rafael Rennella was a student leader at the University of Cincinnati.  He came to Cincinnati from Argentina in 1979 and eventually earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at U.C. in 1994.  Rafael left a legacy of service and accomplishment.  Always true to his ethnic roots, Rafael founded the Hispanic Engineers at the University of Cincinnati, devoted long hours to the Emerging Ethnic Engineers program and helped found Latinos en Acción, a student organization active in political and social causes on campus.  He served as president of Latinos en Acción in 1994-1995.
Upon graduating from U.C., Rafael began working with Procter & Gamble as a systems analyst.  Rafael’s life and labor were cut short at the age of 26 when he died of an asthma attack in 1995.  Shortly thereafter, students, staff, faculty, alumni and P&G employees organized to develop a plan to raise $25,000 towards an endowment goal.
